Holly House has stood on Linden Avenue since 1916. The three-story stucco building has terracotta trim, iron balconies and palms out front. Inside are 24 studio and one-bedroom homes with original character: tall windows, radiators, built-in shelving and vintage kitchen cabinets.
The beach is a block away. You can walk to the Aquarium of the Pacific, the shops and restaurants of Downtown, and the 1st Street Metro station.

Neighborhood
Downtown Long Beach sits right on the water. It has the energy of a city center with the easygoing pace of a beach town. From Holly House you can walk to seafood spots, cafés and the galleries, studios and small theaters of the East Village Arts District.
Long Beach holds cultural festivals all year. Alamitos Beach and Shoreline Aquatic Park are close by for sunsets and weekend walks. The city is known for being unusually bike-friendly for Southern California, so many Downtown residents get by without a car.
